George Travis Henderson
George Travis Henderson was the oldest son of Jock Bedell and Anna Rosalie Henderson. Like many Hendersons, George pursued his education at Marietta College.
George worked for a while for the Bell Telephone Company. In 1907, he took a job as a train conductor on the Inter-Urban Railway.
George married Rachael Margaret Byer of Williamstown. The couple took up residence at Woodhaven, a home on the Henderson Hall property previously occupied by George’s uncle Henry Clay Henderson. The couple had four children, including daugher Jean Byer, who was the mother of Michael Rolston.
George was killed in a train accident while working for the B&O Railroad in 1928.
